To say that the Material Girl is a 20th century pop icon would be an understatement. From her illustrious music career, to a movie career, to her foray into the publishing industry, Madonna has done it all, seen it all, and something tells us it's only the beginning.

6. Mariska Hargitay (43)

Mariska has all the virtues of a great actress and a great person. Talent, personality, a sense of humor, and lots of grounding. Personal ego is non-existent in her case.

7. Sarah Jessica Parker (42)

As sex-crazed columnist Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, Sarah caught the attention of men and women on a weekly basis for six years; women wanted to have as much fun as she did, while men wanted a girlfriend who was just as cool.

Vanessa Williams is known as the first black Miss America, a title that she was forced to relinquish. Fortunately, she was able to overcome the controversy and parlay it into a successful music and movie career.
